A tranquil afternoon in the countryside is momentarily interrupted by the howl of notched-out diesel locomotives as Canadian Pacific train no. 243 charges through Puslinch, Ont., on the afternoon of April 19th, 2014. As for the horses in the paddock, they seem unfazed by the earth-shaking performance of their counterpart of iron and steel racing by in the background.
