A lot changes in ten years, but even on the afternoon of April 12th, 2014, I knew this would likely be one of my last opportunities to photograph these aging road warriors in the same frame — and it was. Looking more like a scene from the ‘90s than the mid 2010s, Soo Line EMD SD60 6033 meets CP EMD GP9u 8212 at Galt, Ontario. At the time of this photo, both units were true veterans in their own right; the Soo having avoided the SD60 rebuild program and the GP9 from being turned into an ECO unit. A friendly wave from the hogger aboard 8212 completes this throwback scene, now nearly 10 years ago.
