Rods down at Indus! Framed between a couple of grain elevators at Indus, AB., Canadian Pacific's regal 4-6-4 Hudson no. 2816, better known as 'the Empress', has her rods down as she storms along the Brooks Subdivision on the afternoon of April 6th, 2024. In less than three weeks, 2816 will embark on the Final Spike Anniversary Steam Tour, the first ever steam-powered passenger train in North America to traverse Canada, the U.S., and Mexico in a single trip.
