An eastbound train out of Limon is tied down on Kyle Railroad’s mainline at Stratton, Colorado, amongst a couple of John Deere tractors on the afternoon of December 15th, 2018. KYLE EMDs 3099 and 8041 — a former Southern Pacific SD45T-2 and Burlington Northern SD40-2, respectively — will guide this train across the high plains of Colorado and on down to Salina, Kansas later that evening.
